We wanted it to be easy to install and more reliable than the original, to withstand stress better and to be able to carry heavier components, such as a navigation tablet or over 1 kg of tools, as the OEM:
for this reason we focused on a streamlined design that still offered space to comfortably manage electrical connections:
the original ones as well as those of additional devices.
The bolted carbon plates (4 mm thick!) offer greatly increased rigidity compared to the original thermoplastic structure while absorbing all vibrations, for excellent instrument readability.
The modular construction allows any damage to be repaired “locally” without having to touch the entire structure or even replace it completely.
The new design and resulting dimensions led us to redesign the “peripherals” as well:
the turn signal supports, easily adjustable in length and also consisting of several parts that can be replaced individually or even self-recreated on a 3D printer;
the original instrument support, easily removable to access the cables stored there, protected from dust and atmospheric agents under ABS covers;
our famous and still unique Front Rack (now: Tower Rack) which integrates the quick release system for the windshield: just four knobs and tools, first aid kit, or rain cover are fast and easy accessible;
the headlight support, which, thanks to its adjustments, allows for perfect assembly of the original fairing, without forcing or spreading;
and, of course, our Device Holder:
equipped with two sets of standard AMPS holes, it is adjustable to four degrees of inclination to make any navigation device or cell phone readable in any driving condition.
All this for a weight lower than that of the similarly equipped original tower!
